Hello. Can anyone confirm please the correct Fsky Module to use with the JR2610 transmitter with a removable module. I think it’s the V8JT. Many thanks.

Thanks tweedpiper for your response. My 650 can motor was geared actually but was very heavy as well. Ther’s not a lot of room up front for the motor but the GT2218 motor will fit nicely. I will use a smaller folding prop as you suggest probably a 9×5 or similar. Also battery will mount well up front in the fuse to help with the CG issue. Thanks again.

for juanmannband, that`s a big prop for an ungeared 650, but you`re going in the right direction with a brushless motor. The combo you suggest will work but don` rush into it. Check how you are going to mount the motor, and if there`s room go for more power, even if you have to use a 40A ESC. The battery is plenty if you keep the run time short, or don`t give it full throttle. Biggest problem I found is to keep the CG forward, there`s quite a difference in the motor weight, and it`s better to balance with a more powerful motor than to have to add a lump of lead.

I have a 2m power glider weight less 7 cell NiMh pack is 2.5lb. The current power set up is a 650 brushed can motor turning a 12×6 folding prop. performance on climb is embarrasing alongside other club members using brushless motors and Lipo batteries. I am wanting to know if the following combination from Giantcod website would be suitable. 2200mAh 3S 20C/30C lipo, E-Power GC GT2218 1000Kv motor and a Hobbyking Pentium 30A ESC. Iwould prefer to use the same 12×6 prop. Any help would be appreciated.

bnairb In answer to your question posted Tue May 10, 2011 12:38 pm You will need to isolate the power from the ESC to the receiver. i) Pull the BEC connector from the receiver Throttle channel. ii) carefully cut short section out from the red wire and reconnect to the Throttle channel on the receiver. iii) Connect the 4.8 volt battery pack into the receiver channel marked BATT or Switch, via an on/off switch & harness.
