Glad that it looks like you get to keep your field. I'm in the Ipswich club and we lost ours, though for different reasons and no fault of anyones. Trouble is now our 'club' field is a good hour away for me so I can't swing by after work and fly.
Interesting debate about Nuclear Power - I have a vested interest because I work in the industry. New power stations are a way off yet - there's a lot of infrastructure to put in place first, some of it not very popular like new access roads.
What we need is for the lights to go out in London for a day or two - wonder how quickly they would get approval then? Better put the rider in that this is my own opinion, not necessarily that of the Company I work for.

I couldn't agree more Andy - I've always said that a few days without power will focus objectors attention! The trouble is, as we know the lead times involved for new nuclear installations will mean we could have some major prolonged brown out years....

Guess what! I joined the Eye club flying on the old airfied.
Effing typical though, now I'm doing 12 hour shifts and then on holiday for two weeks. Still, should be flying come October. Might have to fit ski's to the beaver.
